Accreditation
What is accreditation?
Accreditation is independent recognition that an organisation, program or activity meets the requirements of defined criteria or standards. Accreditation provides assurance for owners, managers, staff, funding bodies and consumers about quality and performance.
General practice accreditation in Australia ensures practices are eligible to participate in the Practice Incentives Program (PIP) – a blended payment administered by Medicare Australia on behalf of the Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA).
What is quality?
Quality is the degree of excellence of something like a product, service, or process.
