AGPAL launches Regional RACGP 4th edition Workshops
AGPAL’s National Satellite Navigation Workshops will begin travelling to regional locations in 2012 to train practices on the RACGP Standards for general practices 4th edition. The workshops are designed to ensure practices’ accreditation journeys under the 4th edition remains stress-free and uncomplicated.

The interactive workshops provided education and guidance for general practices to gain a detailed understanding of the differences between the 3rd and the 4th edition Standards. The program promises practices a comprehensive overview. Highlights include the key differences between the 3rd and 4th edition Standards, the top 10 changes, new areas driven by national standards, an explanation of clinical governance and patient handover and assistance with the more challenging Standards.
The national workshops visited thirteen major cities in 2011. Attendees provided positive feedback about the workshops, with over 97% reporting they would strongly recommend the AGPAL workshop to their colleagues.
AGPAL CEO Dr. Stephen Clark said it was vital AGPAL continues to improve its accreditation services by providing resources such as face-to-face training for practices in the form of workshops.
