Medicare Locals Accreditation Standards

A key component of the Australian Government’s National health reform is the establishment of a new nation-wide network of Medicare Locals.
Quality In Practice/Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (QIP/AGPAL) were awarded the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aging tender to develop accreditation standards for Medicare Locals and to develop appropriate support and training materials for Medicare Locals and accreditation providers.
This tender was awarded as a consortium partnership and is inclusive of The Quality Improvement Council (QIC), Quality Improvement and Community Services Accreditation (QICSA) and Quality Management Services (QMS).
