New standardised accreditation certificate numbers and new style certificates for general practices were introduced on 1 September 2024 as part of an initiative led by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, in collaboration with the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, to enhance consistency and streamline the verification process.
